Back Home; Homeschooling Traditions To Start The New Term

Back Home; Homeschooling Traditions to Start the New Term We have just started Term Four officially in our Homeschool. It is among many firsts for us. First Day of a new term, in our adventure of wild & free education. The kids asked if we could ease back in to the rhythms, having just had a beautiful holiday. Although of course there was much ‘homeschooling’ being done. Visiting the beach, the museum, Sea World, road tripping… Β This new way of life is so incredibly fun, it’s hard to believe it is school.

Given that I haven’t started a term before of homeschool, I said let’s go right ahead and take it slow today.{I think this is my new favourite saying}. Perhaps we could take the opportunity to establish some traditions. I am so particularly fond of traditions at home, when they involve fun & create celebration markers.

LJ was straight onto it and asked to make waffles. We could make these on the first day of every term, perfect!

We spent some time reading the bible together & journalling, with our new family devotional. It helped us decide our verse to guide our family for the term.

We spent some time researching and made a list for each person {who doesn’t love lists, I live for lists}.

One place you would like to go, one thing you would like to learn about, one thing you would like to do. This was a lot of fun and in the process we came up with a really cool idea we all love that I can’t wait to share with you.

Lots of Love x
