Today is the last official day of school for the year, summer break is on. We may have skipped school a day early to go to the beach. We had workers at the house today and being a day off, I felt the beach was totally in order.
After a thorough Facebook Poll of my friends, asking them for the best cafes on the Northern Beaches I have made it my mission to investigate them all. Today we went to Zubi’s at Bilgola Beach, absolute heaven. The tables were practically on the beach and the food and coffee was delicious.
There was a huge swell today and all the surfers were gathered in the carpark in a state of bliss watching their mates surfing and the waves roll in in, it was a magical morning.
I read this week that being at the beach is good for your mental health something about the water and salt in the air, and even though I have no scientific backing I have to agree, something about the beach makes everything right again, Shane said maybe that’s why surfers were so chilled out.
How could you be stressed here? Happy Summer my people.
Here is to stress free days of holidaying and surf, the long awaited summer break is upon us and I am so excited for the deep rest it brings.
We left home super early this morning to get out of the house before the workers came and it was totally worth it, to watch the sun rise over the ocean. These are the days memories are made of, the kind that take the energy to get going but are always worth the effort.
I took the kids riding at another beach, where the waves were even bigger.
So big that the pool was closed, but everyone still gathered to watch the beautiful sight.
That face, watching the wonder of the sea, I LOVE these days.
After much watching, cafe’ing, bike riding and walking we headed home to make buttermilk pancakes for lunch followed by a swim in the pool and more bike riding. this summer is going to be grand.
Lots of Love x
